Laird effectively plays as a right winger with the nominal right winger sitting in the half space between the striker and Laird. Whereas on the other wide Hansson is more of a traditional wide man which naturally will give us more protection between him and Cochrane.

I suspect we’re expecting that space behind Laird to be there and hoping the midfield will clean it up.
