Centre, states to discuss ways to promote industry on September 5

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will chair a meeting of state industry ministers on September 5 to discuss ways to promote industrial growth. The Centre is already taking measures like reducing compliance burdens and setting up industrial townships. Recently, 12 new industrial cities have been approved in various states to boost domestic manufacturing with an investment of Rs 28,602 crore.
