Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 hits Bay of Bengal
An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 hit the Bay of Bengal on Sunday morning, with an epicentre located 10 km below the surface. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported the event took place at 09:12 am. Meanwhile, a smaller earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck Noklak town in Nagaland earlier in the day at 3:36 am.
