To the editor: Crypto is business chance for Ohio

Digital assets will play a key role in the future of our economy. The Ohio Blockchain Basics Act (House Bill 406) will help prepare our state for that reality. As a co-sponsor of H.B. 406, I write to clarify The Blade’s recent criticism of the legislation “Ohio crypto craziness,” Aug. 12, which ignores important facts and context. Community leaders must recognize the importance of these strategic efforts to position Ohio as a leader in the emerging digital economy. To not act would be the “blunder,” leaving Ohio and Ohioans behind.
