Workers at 35 Boston-area hotels vote to authorize possible strike - Boston Business Journal

Susana Coelho says she's remained loyal to the Hilton Boston Logan Airport for more than two decades. But today, she stood with fellow union members at Boston City Hall Plaza to say enough is enough for hotel workers.Coelho is one of more than 4,000 workers at 35 Boston hotels who voted to authorize a strike of hospitality workers next month. According toUnite Here Local 26, 99% of the votes were in favor of authorizing a strike.The vote doesn't mean a strike will necessarily occur, but if it does, it could be the largest strike of hotel worker Boston has ever seen.
