Michigan State's Aidan Chiles got ripped for telling bettors to take the over before 16-point game
After the Spartans disastrous 4-8 season last year, Chiles was expected to bring some much-needed optimism with him after following his coach over from Oregon State.
But, uh, maybe leave the betting talk out of this.
For starters, nothing good has ever come from NCAA athletes talking about betting lately. And you can end up looking pretty silly if you tell people to bet the over before scoring exactly one touchdown.

Michigan State beat the Owls, 16-10, as Chiles completed 10 of 24 passes for 114 yards and two interceptions. He also rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.
The over was never in any real danger here. In fact, neither was Michigan State’s team over (28.5). Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like a ton of people took Chiles’ advice.
