Person dies after being shot by police in Orchard Park

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person is dead after they were shot by police in Orchard Park late Friday night, according to the Orchard Park Police Department.
Police did not provide any specifics into the incident.
"There is a lot of work to be done on the investigation and it is too early to discuss the specifics of the incident," police said in a release early Saturday morning. "Solid facts will be released once they are available."
WIVB News 4 cameras captured a scene with heavy police presence on Hawthorne Drive and Webster Road around 11 p.m. Friday, but it is unknown if they are related. WIVB also reached out to Orchard Park police via phone multiple times and they did not provide any information.
Police did say that the New York State Attorney General's Office is working with them, as they do on all fatal police shootings.
