Odisha's new excise policy allows musical performance, orchestra in licensed liquor shops

Odisha's new excise policy, effective from September 1, allows musical performances in licensed liquor shops but bans dance performances. No new IMFL 'OFF' shops will be sanctioned for the 2024-25 fiscal, and 'ON' shop licenses for rural areas are restricted except for certain hotels and beer parlours. Measures to curb illegal liquor trade are also included.
