Jack Iredale Joins Hibs!

We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of centre-back Jack Iredale from English League One side Bolton Wanderers!

The terms of the transfer will remain undisclosed, with the 28-year-old penning a two-year deal with Hibernian FC.

Having amassed over 250 senior career appearances in Australia, Scotland, and England, Iredale joins Hibs with a wealth of experience.

During the 2023/24 campaign, he was a regular for Bolton as they reached the English League One Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium. He’s also featured for Wanderers this season.

Internationally, Iredale has been capped by Australia’s Under-17s – a country he moved to at a young age.

Hibernian FC Head Coach David Gray commented: “Jack is an experienced centre-half and knows the Scottish game well from his time at Greenock Morton and Queen’s Park.

“We’ve wanted to add a left-footed defender to the First Team squad this window, and he adds extra flexibility and competition for places being comfortable at both centre-half and left-back.

“It’s great to be able to welcome Jack to Hibs and we look forward to working with him.”

Hibernian FC Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “It was important that we added to our defensive options during this transfer window.
