News24 | Political parties declare 'colossal' R189 million in run-up to elections, despite gap in funding law

Despite a gap in electoral funding legislation, political parties declared what the Electoral Commission of South Africa described as a "colossal" R189 million between 1 April and 30 June – the highest amount declared since the Political Party Funding Act came into effect in April 2021.
