Red Lobster in Queensbury closes
The seafood chain said in a recent court filing that it is rejecting the leases of an additional 23 locations and intends to vacate the properties by Saturday, August 31. The Queensbury location was confirmed closed as of August 27.
Jumpin’ Jack’s in Scotia closing for the 2024 season
Jumpin’ Jack’s Drive-In is getting ready to close for the season. Your last chance to get a burger and ice cream from the Scotia staple until next year is Sunday, September 1.
Sushi, seafood buffet sets opening date in Colonie
UMI Hot Pot Sushi & Seafood Buffet is getting ready to open in Colonie. The restaurant, located at 1614 Central Avenue, is set to open on Saturday, August 31.
Viva Empanadas celebrates grand opening in Albany
Viva Empanadas, located at 90 North Pearl Street in Albany, celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday. The restaurant had its soft opening in July in the former The Bishop space.
Amsterdam hot dog joint closing after two years
Guge’s Dogs, located at 43 Bridge Street in Amsterdam, is closing its doors. Owner Joseph Gugliemelli made the announcement on Facebook on August 27.
Ribbon cutting set for Lake George brewery expansion
The Adirondack Pub & Brewery has expanded its brewery and offerings. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new expansion will be held on Friday, Aug. 30 at 3:30 p.m.
