25-mile detour for bridge project in Jefferson Co.
JEFFERSON COUNTY (KSNT) - Residents of Jefferson County may want to consider alternate routes while a 25-mile detour is posted for a bridge repair project.
Starting on Sept. 5, bridge repairs for a project on K-900, also known as K-236, will close the bridge until May 2025. During the project, the Rock Creek Bridge in Perry State Park will be closed. A detour will take motorists along K-237, US-24 and K-4, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
KDOT said the $266,000 project is being contracted by PCI Roads of St. Michael, Minn. Work will be done Monday through Friday during daylight hours with the completion date dependent on weather conditions.
