DA: Jury convicts Saugerties man of grand larceny, gun possession
KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- According to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, a Saugerties man was convicted on multiple charges after a jury trial in Ulster County Court. Spencer Lane, 38, will be sentenced on November 14.
Charges
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree grand larceny
- Third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
- Second-degree menacing
The indictment in this case accuses Lane of stealing a blue Subaru from a business in Saugerties as well as a red Nissan in July of 2022. It is also alleged that a week after stealing these cars Lane was menacing the owners of a motel with a switchblade.
