Hot & muggy Friday, cold front brings rain to start weekend

Our hot and humid stretch lasts one more day, with highs returning to the upper 90s this afternoon, but feeling like the triple digits. We'll see partly cloudy skies, then we'll be tracking a few spotty storms late-afternoon into part of the evening. Luckily, they don't look to be real widespread, which is good news for Football Friday Nite games. Just expect high heat during those games! Temps in the upper 80s at kickoff, falling into the lower 80s as the games wrap.

Then, as our cold front inches closer, it brings us rain into Saturday. We'll see the heaviest of our showers during the morning hours, and they'll continue on-and-off throughout the morning. Keep the rain gear handy for tailgating plans. Showers start to decrease in coverage through the afternoon, but expect a few lingering showers around for the first half of the Ohio State game. Highs fall back to the lower 80s with a muggy feel.

Sunday will be nicer, with highs in the middle 80s, lowered humidity, and a lot more sunshine as clouds work to clear out.

Labor Day Monday looks great, with highs in the upper 70s and sunny skies.
