Rain early this morning before fall-like temperatures arrive
What We’re Tracking
- Rain this morning
- Cooler air moves in
- Pleasant weather for this weekend
With the arrival of our cold front, scattered showers are moving across northeast Kansas this morning. Most of the rain should move out by mid to late morning as we gradually clear out into the afternoon. Behind the rain, cooler air will officially make it's way in. Highs for this afternoon will likely stay in the lower 80s with spots even struggling out of the upper 70s.
Winds will be light through the night as skies remain clear and that will allow temperatures to drop into the lower 60s and even upper 50s early Saturday morning!
Over the weekend, expect lots of sunshine and even drier air. Highs will top out in the middle 80s on Saturday and Sunday. However, another cold front slides through and drops highs into the upper 70s for Labor Day.
Most of next week looks to remain dry and comfortable as temperatures remain below average in the lower 80s.
