Man punched in suspected anti-Asian attack in Brooklyn: NYPD

FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect in what they are calling a hate crime that happened in Brooklyn on Friday, August 2.

The incident happened around 5:05 a.m. near Ocean Avenue and Foster Avenue.

A 33-year-old man was punched in the head and arm by an unknown man who made anti-Asian remarks, according to the NYPD. The suspect ran south on Ocean Avenue.

Police say the suspect has brown eyes, brown hair, a beard, and a tattoo on his right calf. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, tan shorts, blue shoes, and a green book bag.
