2 arrested for alleged involvement in October 2023 murder of Portland mother
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Two people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of a mother of three back in October 2023.
On October 15, 26-year-old Portland resident Cali Durbin was shot and killed at the corner of Southeast Foster and 86th. Two other people were seriously injured in the shooting.
On Saturday, Portland police, U.S. Marshals, and officials from Joint Base Lewis-McChord arrested 32-year-old William Watson and 34-year-old Candice Hicks in Washington.
Watson was arrested on charges of second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, second-degree attempted murder, and second-degree assault with a firearm.
Hicks was arrested on charges of second-degree attempted murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
Both are currently awaiting extradition to Oregon, officials say.
