Liverpool Reject Nottingham Forest Offer For Star, Below Valuation
Liverpool have turned down an offer from Nottingham Forest for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, deeming it too low, according to Sky Sports News.
Nottingham Forest are looking high and low for a goalkeeper and have already asked Bournemouth about Neto.
They have also been in to Liverpool in an effort to convince the Reds to sell Kelleher, a substantial task given the lack of time left in the transfer window.
Forest have failed and Liverpool have turned down the proposal, deeming it to be below their valuation of the Irishman.
Liverpool are aware they would have limited time to look for a replacement for Kelleher and their valuation likely reflects that.
It is unclear just how much Nottingham Forest put on the table for Kelleher, but it was not enough for Liverpool.
Kelleher has been looking to move on from Anfield this summer.
The goalkeeper is frustrated at playing second fiddle to Alisson at Anfield and would like regular game time, but Liverpool will not let him go now.
