Travel with your furry friends for a fee with Lyft
NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) -- You’ll be paying a little more to take a ride with your furry friends on Lyft.
The rideshare company announced the launch of their new “Pet rides,” in which users can travel with their furry friends for an additional $4 dollar fee.
The Pet ride option will pair users with drivers who don’t mind having animals in their car, though they will still have to sit in a carrier, on a blanket, or at one’s feet. The company says the change was a highly requested feature from both riders and drivers.
Rideshare users will be able to bring one cat or dog with them in a Lyft. However drivers are still required to accommodate service animals even if it’s not requested as a Pet ride.
