Person in NY dies from listeria outbreak linked to Boar's Head deli meats: CDC
NEW YORK (PIX11) – At least nine people died from listeria following a massive outbreak connected to Boar's Head deli meats, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
A person from New York was among the six people who recently died, the CDC said.
Health officials previously confirmed three deaths from listeria, including a person from New Jersey.
Nearly 60 other people have been hospitalized. The CDC called the recent listeria outbreak the largest since 2011, when affected cantaloupe killed more than 30 people.
