Motorcyclist falls off Queens bridge to street below: NYPD
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man driving a motorcycle was critically injured on Wednesday after falling off the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge in Queens, according to the NYPD.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. The 35-year-old man was driving a 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle when he fell off the bridge and landed near Beach 92nd Street and Beach Channel Drive, per police.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
There was heavy traffic near the bridge following the fall, video posted to Citizen App showed. The NYPD was seen blocking off parts of the roadway during their investigation.
