Opposition, JD(U) members demand discussion on 'caste census' in Parliament panel

JD(U), an ally of the BJP, has joined the opposition's call for a "caste census" to be discussed in the Parliament's Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes. This demand has been supported by members from the Congress and Trinamool Congress. The BJP member suggested including contract and temporary jobs under reservations.
