Trump demands 'all J6 cases should be immediately dropped!' in all-caps tirade
House Republicans released previously unseen video from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol that highlights Pelosi saying she accepts "full responsibility" for security failures that allowed the former president's supporters to storm into the building to halt the certification of Joe Biden's election win, and Trump seized on those comments to absolve himself and his jailed followers.
"Based on Crazy Nancy Pelosi’s taped admission to her daughter, ALL J6 CASES SHOULD BE IMMEDIATELY DROPPED," Trump posted on his Truth Social website Thursday at 1:38 a.m.

The Republican nominee posted multiple video clips that had been released by the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight, which is looking to show bias in the work of the House select committee that investigated the attack, and he highlighted quotes that pinned the blame on Pelosi but ignored her statements explicitly blaming him for the violence.
“There is a domestic enemy in the White House,” Pelosi said of Trump, who was still president that day. “Let’s not mince words about this.”
In another video clip shot by her daughter for an HBO documentary, Pelosi discusses a statement she planned to issue calling for Trump to be removed from office over the attack.
“I think our focus has to be on the president," she said. "Let’s not divert ourselves."
A spokesman for the California Democrat denounced efforts by House Republicans to shift the blame away from Trump, who has been indicted again this week for his efforts to overturn his election loss in the District of Columbia.
“Numerous independent fact-checkers have confirmed again and again that Speaker Pelosi did not plan her own assassination on Jan. 6,” said spokesman Ian Krager. “The speaker of the House is not in charge of the security of the Capitol Complex — on Jan. 6 or any other day of the week.”
