The Refugee Team for the 2024 Paris Paralympics comprises a total of 10 athletes, with Zakia Khodadadi, a para-taekwondo champion, being the only Afghan representative on the team.

The United Nations Refugee Agency has announced that this team will represent over 120 million forcibly displaced people worldwide.

The athletes will compete in various sports, including para-taekwondo, para-athletics, para-triathlon, para-weightlifting, para-tennis, and para-swords.

Zakia Khodadadi, who carried the Olympic torch at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, will compete in para-taekwondo on behalf of millions of refugees from Afghanistan and around the world.

The UN Refugee Agency has highlighted Zakia Khodadadi as a “taekwondo champion” from the “European Championship.”
