Team India wicketkeeper and Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is enjoying a well-deserved time off in Europe with wife Charulatha. The couple are currently in Paris and Samson’s wife posted a romantic video on Instagram which soon went viral on social media.

In the video, Sanju Samson lifts his wife romantically in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris and Charulatha captions the video, “Pov: The reason for such “peculiar actions” is behind the objects. I Eiffel You @imsanjusamson”.

Samson was part of the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, which India won 3-0 last month. However, the 29-year-old wasn’t selected for the subsequent ODI series against the Lankans. The Kerala batter failed in both the innings in the last two T20I matches, scoring back-to-back ducks in the absence of regular opener Shubman Gill.

In what was another disappointment, Samson wasn’t selected in any of the squads for the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament which starts off next month. Other top Indian cricket team stars like Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant will be taking part in Duleep Trophy ahead of the India vs Bangladesh 2024 Test series which begins on September 19.

Meanwhile, a cryptic video by Rajasthan Royals last week sparked speculations that Samson could be heading out of the IPL franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. According to social media buzz, Samson could be headed to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) while all-rounder Shivam Dube can be roped in by the Royals in a swap deal before the next season.

However, both CSK and RR haven’t confirmed any of these rumours. Samson was in scintillating touch for RR in the IPL 2024 season, scoring 531 runs in 16 matches at an average of 48.27 with a strike-rate of 153. He was part of the India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad under Rohit Sharma as well.

Overall, Samson has scored 4,419 runs in 167 IPL matches at an average of 30.69 with 3 hundreds and 25 fifties to his name.
