Man screams before stabbing man on Manhattan train: sources

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) – A man was stabbed and slashed by another man in an unprovoked assault on a Manhattan subway train Wednesday night, sources told PIX11 News.

It happened at the 191st Street Station on a northbound No. 1 train around 11:15 p.m., according to authorities. The 39-year-old victim was sitting on the train when he was approached by another man, who yelled and screamed at him, sources said.

That's when the victim was stabbed in the chest and slashed in his left arm, according to sources. The victim exited the train while the suspect stayed on, sources said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s last seen wearing a red hat and black shirt and carrying a red duffle bag, according to sources.
