Powerful storms knock out power for nearly 400,000 homeowners and businesses in Michigan

A series of fast moving and powerful thunderstorms hit the lower half of Michigan on Tuesday, snapping utility poles, downing power lines and cutting off power to nearly 400,000 customers some of whom will not be restored until the Labor Day weekend.
