Novak Djokovic earns U.S. Open win as opponent retires

Four-time U.S. Open champion Novak Djokovic advanced to the third round in New York on Wednesday when his opponent retired in the third set.
Djokovic, seeded second, led 6-4, 6-4, 2-0 when his Serbian countryman, Laslo Djere, was forced to retire due to an apparent abdominal injury.
Djere led4-2 in the second set and had two break points before losing the next four games.
