VALENTINE CATCHER (3.18 Carlisle, nap)
Tim Easterby’s three-year-old was impressive when scoring on handicap debut at Nottingham 16 days ago. He picked up strongly in the closing stages and saw out this trip nicely. He should improve for that first run of the season and can defy a 2lb rise in the weights.
WARMONGER (7.12 Southwell, nb)
It’s no surprise that this son of Camelot has come into his own since stepping up to two miles, landing a winning hat-trick. He has defied the handicapper on that run and can take another step forward here.
GLENDOWER (6.30 Newbury, treble)
Bumped into a potential star when second on handicap debut at Salisbury. William Buick takes over today and the drop back to a mile holds no fears from the same mark.
