'Hitler was right': Police hunt suspect for spitting on man on Upper East Side
UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) --- Police are searching for a suspect who spit on a man's face and yelled "Hitler was right" during an antisemitic attack on the Upper East Side last month, according to police and sources.
The suspect pulled down the 65-year-old man's face mask and spit on him while he was walking near Fifth Avenue and East 68th Street at around 4:10 p.m. on July 27, according to the NYPD.
"Hitler was right," the suspect told the man before adding, "Should I slap you or punch you?", according to sources.
The victim was not injured.
The perpetrator was last seen walking along Madison Avenue, police said. There have been no arrests.
The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident.
