Khloé Kardashian Is ‘Not Ok’ After Daughter True Reached This Big Milestone
Yesterday was a big day for Khloé Kardashian’s 6-year-old daughter True — and the proud mama is “not OK.” She just shared the sweetest pictures with her baby girl and got vulnerable about how emotional it’s making her feel.
“First Grade!!!” the Good American founder wrote on Instagram. “True I am so proud of you!! I know you’re going to have the most incredible year ahead of you! I couldn’t be happier for you my angel.”
But despite how excited she is for her daughter’s first day of first grade, Kardashian is still a mom — and she can’t help feeling a little sad, too. “I’m not OK but I’ll pull it together by pick up time ????,” she admitted. Aww, poor mama!
In the cute photos (which you can see HERE), Kardashian hugs True next to a life-sized crayon box with a “first day of first grade” banner on top. The whole thing is decorated with a pastel rainbow balloon arch and looks like such a sweet send-off for back to school! True looks adorable as always in her little school uniform of a white button-down shirt and blue plaid skirt. She smiles and hugs her cat Baby Kitty as Kardashian smiles behind her daughter.
In some photos, True holds hands with her little brother Tatum, 2, who Kardashian shares with ex Tristan Thompson. He smiles in a matching blue button-down shirt and shorts and matching white sneakers with his sister. Kardashian joins her kids in some of the pictures, smiling as Tatum cheeses at the camera. They are adorable!
The Home Edit’s Clea Shearer commented, “How is True already in first grade!!!!! ????” Malika Haqq commented, “Go True!!! ❤️” Someone else wrote, “You’re an amazing mama !!! ???????? congrats True.”
The Kardashians star also shared a video of True’s personalized pink backpack on her Instagram story (which PEOPLE has screenshots of HERE). She had multiple pink and blue bags, backpacks, and lunchboxes that were embroidered with colorful letters that spelled “True” and “True Tiger.” Little patches of cats, rainbows, and hearts completed the adorable collection.
In a June episode of The Kardashians, the mom of two opened up about her routine with the kids. “My sisters always say, like, I’m so rigid or I have such a strict schedule with my kids. I don’t think I have such a strict schedule. I just have a schedule,” she said. “We have a time to wake up so we can get ready for school, do hair, breakfast. Then after school we normally have, like, an extracurricular activity. We do have dinner around 6:00, 6:30. It’s not like if you’re not at dinner at 6:01, you’re disciplined,” she added with a laugh.
“For some reason, I keep getting dissected and scrutinized for being ‘too mommy,’” she said at another point. “Like, ‘You spend too much time with your kids; you never want to be social; you don’t have any friends.’ But for me, I genuinely feel like I was made to be a mom and there’s no other place I would rather be than here with my kids.”
Her kids will definitely appreciate all the time they get with their mom!
