Cate Blanchett Rewears Armani Puff Sleeves, Adds Gianvito Rossi Peep Toe Booties at Venice Film Festival

Cate Blanchett doesn’t mind getting multiple wears out of a look. The actor is in Italy to attend the Venice Film Festival. While there, she appeared in a puffy shoulders velvet look she has worn before, matching black trousers and a pair of Gianvito Rossi booties.

Cate Blanchett is seen at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on August 28 in Venice, Italy.

Working with stylist Elizabeth Stewart, the performer wore a look from Giorgio Armani. The sumptuous top and pants set feature a wide neck line and simple pants. According to Stewart’s Instagram post, Blanchett wore the look in London last year. That occasion was a party for Armani’s Si Eau de Parfum Intense product. But the footwear was swapped out.

While she wore stiletto pumps in London, she chose ankle boots for Venice. From Gianvito Rossi, the so called vamp boot, is a suede style. It features a peep toe and four inch heel. The shoe also features a low cut vamp that reveals the top of the foot. As a bootie, the shoe probably provides more support than other heels but as a slip on stiletto, it’s certainly not the most comfortable silhouette.

The shoe is currently available for $898.

Gianvito Rossi has been getting a number of celebrity placements recently. Lily Collins wore a pair of the brand’s Ribbon Jane shoes (a flat pointed toe Mary Jane) in the trailer for “Emily in Paris” Season Four, part two. Given that the brand is Italian, it seemed to go along with the show’s plot which will see Emily relocate to Rome. Maybe Blanchett had the same thought in mind for Venice.

Taylor Russell was also spotted in a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels today in Venice. She chose a custom Gianvito Rossi stiletto featuring a sheer upper.

Since 2006, Gianvito Rossi has become a global footwear business. It was started after its namesake, Gianvito Rossi spent a decade working for his father Sergio Rossi at his footwear brand.
