Harmanpreet Kaur Creates History- First skipper in Women’s Cricket to Lead in 4 editions of T20 World Cup
Harmanpreet Kaur is going to create a unique record after she got announced as the captain of the captain for the Women’s T20 World Cup.
As India aims to win their first Women’s ICC event, Harmanpreet is going to lead the Women’s team going to take place from October 3 to October 20 in the grounds of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Women In Blue are placed in Group A along with Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
Harmanpreet will be creating history as soon as Indian women reach their venue, as she will be the first-ever Indian captain who will lead the team in four editions of Women’s T20 World Cup.
The last 3 times when Harmanpreet led the Indian team were in 2018, 2020, and 2023.
Indian women played their only final match in 2020 under the leadership of Harmanpreet as well, although they eventually lost to Australia.
With leading Indian women for the fourth time, Harmanpreet will break the record of Mithali Raj, who captained India in three editions of tournament.
