CCI approves $8.5 bn merger of Disney-Reliance media assets

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the $8.5 billion merger between Reliance Industries and Disney's Indian media assets, contingent on certain voluntary modifications. The deal includes Reliance and its affiliates holding a 63.16% stake in the merged entity, which will feature two streaming services and 120 TV channels, while Disney will retain a 36.84% stake.
