PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The daughter of retired MLB pitcher Greg Swindell was found in Klamath Falls, Ore. early Tuesday morning after she was reported missing and possibly endangered out of Travis County, Texas on Aug. 24, KXAN in Austin reports.

The woman, identified by authorities as 29-year-old Brenna Swindell, was found by Klamath Falls Police during a traffic stop at 12:32 a.m. on Aug. 27, after she was last seen at a bar with her ex-boyfriend Morgan Guidry on Aug. 22. Guidry, 36, who was wanted out of Texas for felony domestic violence charges, was also located during the traffic stop, according to authorities.

“Patrol officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department had received an automatic license plate reader alert regarding a vehicle flagged as stolen out of Texas in our area,” KFPD said. “The patrol officers searched the area and located the vehicle near south 6th Street and Klamath Avenue. The officer continued to follow the vehicle and waited for an additional patrol unit before attempting to make a traffic stop.”

Officers performed a high-risk traffic stop on the car and Guidry was arrested for the outstanding felony warrant and booked into the Klamath County Jail without incident. Brenna Swindell was found unharmed, police say, and called her parents to make arrangements to travel back to Texas.

According to an affidavit filed on Aug. 26 by Travis County Sheriff’s Office Detective Jason Heck, Guidry allegedly strangled and violently assaulted an unnamed person he was in a domestic relationship with on July 7 in the Austin area. Guidry also allegedly wielded a rifle during the fight, the affidavit reads.

“[The victim] stated as quickly as she could she ran for the door to exit as Guidry was grabbing his bolt action rifle, so she knocked the box of ammunition over that was sitting on the counter to make it harder for him to locate the correct bullets,” the affidavit reads. “[The victim] stated she believed Guidry was going to kill her. Deputies later checked the apartment and located the loose ammunition on the floor, but Guidry and the rifle were gone.”

Swindell’s disappearance became national news after her father, Greg Swindell, shared that she was missing on social media, TMZ reports. Swindell played 17 seasons in the MLB and was a member of the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks team that defeated the New York Yankees to win the World Series.
