Four men suspected of armed robbery at Sherman Oaks home arrested in Compton

Four men suspected of armed robbery at a Sherman Oaks home were arrested after police tracked the group to a Compton residence, authorities said.

Around 9 p.m. on Monday, a woman was home alone at the residence along the 15000 block of Greenleaf Street when four men wearing ski masks entered the home and forced her into a bedroom, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Drake Madison. It was not immediately clear how the suspects got inside the residence.

The men stole jewelry and handbags before fleeing in a black Honda Civic. An exact dollar amount on what was stolen was not available.

The woman was uninjured.

Authorities were able to track the crew to a residence along the 1000 block of 152nd street in Compton, where all four suspects were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, Madison said.

The names of the suspects were not released by police on Tuesday, and authorities believe the men may be connected to other home invasion burglaries in the San Fernando Valley.
