Two men charged with burglary in White Creek

WHITE CREEK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two people have been arrested after a burglary investigation in White Creek, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO). Mathieu Forette, 23, of Hoosick, and Carlos Ruiz Sr., 43, of Hoosick Falls, were both charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Forette and Ruiz are accused of breaking into a building on Notch Lane in White Creek and stealing property on July 10. The men were taken into custody after being identified as suspects during the ensuing investigation. The WCSO says that additional charges are likely.

The duo was arraigned at Washington County Centralized Arraignment before being released on their own recognizance. They are scheduled to appear at the Town of White Creek Court at a later date.
