Investigation underway after body found in NE Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A murder investigation is underway after a victim’s body was found in a car in northeast Oklahoma City after being run over by a car on Monday.
The car was parked in a neighborhood just a few blocks away from OU Health’s complex.
"It's really kind of a shocker,” said Bertice Abercrombie, who lives in the area. “I just saw a whole bunch of police cars… It was different because this is a quiet neighborhood."
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the victim and Jessica Yeahquo got into a fight earlier in the day on the I-35 Service Road near SE 29th Street.
"It appears that during that disturbance, the victim was run over by the suspect in a vehicle. It appears they were living in and out of this vehicle,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk with OKCPD.
Police said the victim wasn’t taken to a hospital and later died inside the car.
Yeahquo was questioned then booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a murder complaint.
OKCPD said the investigation is still in its early stages. The victim’s name will be released once their family is notified.
