Man arrested for mugging at knifepoint in Famagusta

A 29-year-old was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of mugging a 32-year-old in Famagusta district.

The 32-year-old had reported on August 25 that at around 5.30am in an open area an unknown man approached him and stole his mobile phone at knifepoint.

Police obtained testimony against the 29-year-old, who was arrested and remanded in custody to facilitate investigations.
