Deep Down, Jeremy Allen White Knows He’s Not As Stylish As Pharrell
It is an unfortunate truth that Jeremy Allen White beat Pharrell in GQ’s Instagram-voted “Most Stylish Man of the Year” awards in 2023. JAW feels the same way. In an August 27 interview about his latest Calvin Klein campaign (in which he famously wears little-to-no clothing), GQ confronted White about DMing its account when he first saw the bracket, which pit him against the fashion-forward music mogul. “Man that’s fucked up,” White apparently messaged the account. “We all know.” Apparently we do not! Look, we don’t want to claim anti-hat bias, but one of these men is the men’s creative director of Louis Vuitton and the other is most famous for wearing a blue apron. “I was like, ‘You guys need to stop bullying me,’” White recalled. “‘This isn’t funny. Get me out of there.’” Still, this was his opportunity to pull an Adele and apologize for winning like she did at the Grammys when she beat Lemonade. That’s the classy approach.
