Joel McHale Added to 'Yellowjackets' Season 3 in Guest Role That's Being Kept Under Wraps
Yellowjackets has a bit of a cult following and so do the actors involved with the show! Now it’s been confirmed that Joel McHale will be joining the cast for season three.
The Paramount+ with Showtime series released season two on the streaming service back in early 2023 and renewed the show for a third season before season two even premiered.
Variety reports Joel McHale will be joining the already star-studded cast that features Ella Purnell, Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Sammi Hanratty, and many more. While not much is known about Joel’s character, in a show like Yellowjackets, anything can happen!
Yellowjackets follows a high school soccer team that, on their flight to an away game, end up in a plane crash in the Canada wilderness. The series jumps between the past (1996) and the present day (2021) with two actors playing a younger and older version of the same leading characters. Between the past and the present, there are themes of unrequited love, feminism, and even cannibalism.
While season two ended with a major shock in both timelines of the show, fans are unsure what to expect for season three. As of now, the third season of Yellowjackets is currently in production with a projected release date of 2025.
Here’s everything we know so far about season three of Yellowjackets, including which actors may be coming and going!
