BCCI’s Jay Shah becomes youngest ICC chairman, to succeed Greg Barclay

Jay Shah has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of the ICC, effective December 1, 2024. At 35, he will be the youngest person to lead the global cricket governing body. Shah’s election follows a streamlined process with no other candidates. He will succeed Greg Barclay, who did not seek a third term. Shah is set to be the fifth Indian to head the ICC, following past leaders from India.
