Lego Horizon Adventures release date spotted online before it vanishes
The release date of Lego Horizon Adventures has been picked up online by an eagle-eyed Reddit user.
The game was announced back in June at Summer Game Fest, alongside Harry Potter Quidditch Champions and Star Wars Outlaws. Lego Horizon Adventures will be available on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The spin-off of the Horizon game series has been developed by Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo. It will have both local and online co-op options for two players and follows machine hunter Aloy with her “colorful crew of heroes”.
This Lego version is expected to be a bit more light-hearted and family-friendly than other Horizon games, with plenty of customization options. Some fans have already questioned who the target demographic for this game really is, as it seems too watered-down for adult fans but children are likely unfamiliar with the franchise.
When is Lego Horizon Adventures being released?
User foreveryoung1108 noticed the date November 14th on the PlayStation store page for the game and quickly posted a screenshot to the subreddit yesterday (Monday).
“Has the release date been there all along?” they asked.
Other users quickly confirmed that this was new information, as other sources vaguely had Lego Horizon Adventures slated for a 2024 holiday release or as “coming soon”. The PlayStation page where foreveryoung1108 took the screenshot has also now been deleted.
Date could be confirmed at today’s Nintendo Direct Showcase
With the game available to play on the Switch and IndieWorld and Nintendo Direct Partner Showcases scheduled for today (Tuesday), the release date could be announced officially then.
The showcase is set for 7 am PT and will last around 40 minutes. It will focus on indie and third-party games coming to the Switch later this year.
Nintendo also confirmed that there will be no mention of the successor to the Switch.
