Taylor Swift Threw a Birthday Bash for Blake Lively
This past weekend, the European leg of the Eras Tour had wrapped, the Chiefs were done with their preseason games, and Blake Lively was turning 37. This could only mean one thing: It was time to have a big party at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island estate. Swift’s house, immortalized by both “the last great american dynasty” and the many Instagram posts from her Fourth of July parties over the years, is often the site of a summer rager. This time, though, the party seemed to have a more laid-back, family-friendly vibe.
The party was reportedly to celebrate Lively’s birthday, but it seems like a lot of the guests were Swift’s friends. I guess you can do that when you’re throwing the bash? TMZ got photos of Travis Kelce hanging out with his girlfriend on a balcony. This was the first time the two have been spotted together since he went to the Eras Tour in Germany back in July. Jason and Kylie Kelce were also in attendance, along with Travis’s teammate Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, according to the Daily Mail. (Some Swifties were upset to see Brittany there, as she had just liked a Donald Trump post on Instagram. Whoops!)
Both couples brought their kids, which is making me feel old because I remember when these parties featured models wearing matching American flag bathing suits and Tom Hiddleston in his “I <3 T.S.” tank top.
Speaking of models, Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, were both spotted at the fête with the Maestro actor bringing his daughter along. The Daily Mail had previously reported that Hadid wasn’t at the party, but photos have since proven otherwise. Unfortunately, it does not seem that Cooper has been promoted from “friend’s boyfriend” to “friend.”
Last but not least, the woman of the hour, Blake Lively, was there with her husband, Ryan Reynolds. I imagine they also brought their four children, bringing the kids total up to ten, not including the one Brittany Mahomes is currently pregnant with. Swift really wasn’t lying when she sang, “My friends all smell like weed or little babies.” Hopefully she can get the weed crew out to Rhode Island before the summer ends!
