Valatie man arrested on arson charge
VALATIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- State police reported the arrest of a Valatie man following a fire investigation. Noah Faulkner, 21, was charged with third-degree arson.
On August 22, troopers responded to a report of a structure fire at a home in Valatie alongside the Chatham and Tri-Village Fire Departments. Upon arrival, first responders located a shed engulfed in flames, which housed multiple all-terrain vehicles, a lawn mower and other landscaping equipment.
Crews extinguished the fire, but the building was deemed a total loss. According to state police, further investigation yielded that Faulkner knew the victim and allegedly set the fire intentionally.
Faulkner was arrested on August 23. He was arraigned at the Town of Chatham Court before being released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on September 4.
