Almost instantly, the bike was knocked to the ground, leaving the camera’s viewpoint looking up at the trees with the biker left too stunned to move for a few seconds.
Many have already flocked to the comments section of the post to express their thoughts on who is in the wrong.
One said: “Dressed for the slide, not the ride! I’m glad you’re ok man.”
Another replied: “I will never understand people that wait until they’re at a complete or almost complete stop and then suddenly jerk their car over without looking, I see it happen literally every day.”
Someone else commented: “Bright orange bike to increase visibility, bright orange clothes to add even more visibility, the engine sound which makes him even more noticeable to other drivers.
“And I bet the driver will say it’s not their fault.”
Whilst some seemed to sympathise with the driver: “Nah, look at the long shadow the bike casts, SUV driver saw nothing but the sun when he looked in his mirror.
“Still switched lanes too aggressively tho.”
Another said: “The lanes MERGED. The SUV had the right of way because they were well ahead of the motorcycle and in the continuing lane.
“That cyclist should have yielded. If you stop the video at the right moment, you’ll see the road sign that indicates the MOTORCYCLE’s lane ended, which means it is HIS job to merge safely and properly.”
