Election 2024 Latest: Trump to head to Michigan, Harris campaign says it's raised $540M

The campaigns of Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are arguing in advance of their upcoming high-stakes debate over whether microphones should be muted except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak. President Joe Biden’s campaign team made microphone muting a condition of its decision to accept any debates this year. Trump was scheduled to head to Michigan on Monday to address the National Guard Association of the United States conference. Meanwhile, Harris’ campaign says it has now raised $540 million and saw a surge of donations during the Democratic National Convention last week.
