Ladakh's five new districts announced: Here are new district names and how the new Leh-Ladakh map will look

The government declared the formation of five new districts in Ladakh: Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang. Home Minister Amit Shah stated that this initiative aims to improve governance and opportunities in the region. This comes after the 2019 abrogation of Article 370, with Jammu and Kashmir elections slated to begin in September.
