Flat Dee Why on Monday morning

0

A bright and beautiful morning along the beaches as Monday kicked off. Wind was coming from the WNW at 13-18 kts as of 0700. Swell at sea was 0.9 m at 11 seconds from the south when the MHL buoy reported in at 0600. As you can see from the pic above, Dee Why was looking like a lake. Go check the south magnets I’d say and you might find something in the knee high range for your mal.

Outlook is for maybe a faint upward tick tomorrow at the south magnets and then possibly something more noticeable Weds-Thrs (think waist to chest at the best exposures).

Looks like a great day for outdoor activities (apart from surfin’), so get out there and enjoy!

Weather Situation

Gusty west to southwesterly across southern and central waters this morning in the wake of a cold front that crossed the state last night. After this, a weak ridge of high pressure is forecast to develop before vigorous winds develop later Tuesday and Wednesday as a more significant cold front crosses the region.
