Clear with afternoon rains in the north

Monday will start off clear after morning clouds dissipate. In the afternoon, local rains and isolated thunderstorms, with a chance of hail, are expected in the mountains, the interior, and the north. Temperatures will rise to 38C in the interior, 33C on the coasts, and 28C in the higher mountains. Winds will be mainly north- to south-westerly, initially weak, up to 3 Beaufort, gradually strengthening to moderate, strong on the south coast, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.

Overnight will see increased low clouds with temperatures at 22C in the interior and on the north coast, 23C on the remaining coasts, and 17C in the higher mountains. Winds will gradually turn northerly to north-westerly, light, up to 3 Beaufort and the sea will remain calm to slightly rough.

Tuesday will bring increased clouds, rains, and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and over the eastern half of the island.

Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly sunny with some afternoon clouds in the mountains. Temperatures will drop slightly on Tuesday down to the average for the season with no significant change expected through Thursday.
